Nursing

Relationships are at the core of healthcare, and at McPherson Hospital, we offer relationship-based care with the patient and family at the center. Our professional registered nurses and nurse assistants take pride in providing quality patient care. These friendly, familiar faces work under a physician’s direction and make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The nursing staff recognizes the importance of family involvement, which can play a major role in a loved one’s recovery, by encouraging family support.

Medical/Surgical Unit

The Medical/Surgical Unit is the general nursing unit where patients are admitted for care of general illnesses, injuries and post-surgery.

The unit has 21 patient rooms. Skilled nursing services are provided to patients with the goal of returning them to their highest level of function. Infusion therapies are also offered in this unit.

Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit is for patients who need constant monitoring. The unit is equipped with seven private rooms (three of which are isolated for infection control) located around a central nursing station where patients can be easily monitored with the use of computerized telemetry. Specially trained staff provide care in this unit.
